Chrissy + JD // Kauai Private Estate Wedding

Sometimes I get a wedding so amazing that I don’t know where to start. Chrissy and JD’s was one of those. Between the crazy in love, beautiful couple, the hundreds of twinkling candles, the imu with kalua pig, the hula performance and the cake homemade by Chrissy’s mom, I found myself smiling and giggling and commenting out loud to myself while editing how amazing this wedding was! I had a blast with this one and can tell that it was a day to remember for Chrissy and JD and their family and friends.

Christy and JD were married near Anahola, Kauai. Their celebration was perfectly framed with the ocean on one side and the stunning Anahola mountains on the other. I especially loved all of the candles in their reception tent. Legacy Events Kauai went over the top on designing this wedding.

One of the neatest details was that Christy and JD got engaged on the beach that we filmed their couples shots, so it has even more sentimental value.  I’m a sucker for love stories, so it was super fun to hear their engagement story as we were driving down to the beach.

Alicia + J // Kauai Beach Wedding

I am absolutely in love with Alicia’s pink dress, J’s bow tie – and this adorable couple! It was drizzling on the drive over to their house, but the weather cleared and made way for a stunning sunset wedding at Ke’e beach on Kauai. The beauty of the surroundings was only bested by the incredible love shining through Alicia and J (and of course their looks – because you have to admit they are gorgeous). It was such a pleasure to film this wedding.

Cathy + Ben // Kauai Garden Wedding

Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens on Kauai is one of my favorite locations to film weddings because there are so many amazing spots! Ben and Cathy were married alongside the lagoon and partied the night away in the lower field near the beach. I absolutely loved their Hawaiian wedding ceremony and their vows for each other. What a lovely day!

Darla and Jake had a real elopement on Kauai! It was so exciting to help capture their wedding so they could share it with family and friends (most who had no clue they were getting married). It seems so neat that they could keep it a secret in the age of Facebook and Twitter. What a lovely couple and an amazing sunset they had on their wedding day.

Kelly + Jeff // Kauai Wedding Video

Sometimes when shooting a wedding, I feel like I should be the one paying the couple for the entertainment. Kelly and Jeff were a blast to work with! So much so that my face hurt from laughing when I went home. I hope that they have many many years of laughter together. They had the most gorgeous beach wedding on Kauai and really knew how to have fun.

These two are the cutest. They met at a football game, and the rest is happily ever after. They chose to have their wedding at the beautiful Plantation Gardens Restaurant on Kauai and invited me to film their celebrations. I had a blast filming their reception – these Texans know how to party!

Chris and Tanya couldn’t have ordered a better day for their wedding celebration. Although Tanya’s family couldn’t be on Kauai for the wedding, they were able to use Skype to see a live feed of the ceremony and give a blessing beforehand. It was so touching to see her briefly chat with them after the ceremony. I personally love knowing that the video I created will help the family far away feel like they experienced the day.

National Tropical Botanical Gardens Wedding

One of the best parts of weddings at the National Tropical botanical gardens is all of the amazing flowers. The lotus flowers were in full bloom to celebrate Hung and Monalita’s wedding. It was so much fun be the videographer for this sweet couple. Hung pulled out his best jumps for the video and Monalita braved the waves at Shipwrecks beach. What great sports! I love featuring all the beauty of Kauai in our videos!

Kauai Vow Renewal

John and Robin celebrated their twenty-fifth anniversary by having a vow renewal. Surrounded by children, grandchildren and friends, they re-pledged their love and devotion to each other. As I was leaving, I glanced back at the couple, shimmering in the swirling lights, dancing to a nostalgic song, and it looked like they could have danced the night away basking in the glow of each others love.
