One thing that struck me from Kahana and Koa’s Kauai wedding was how warm and loving both their families were. By the time I left the celebration, the group hug total had to have been somewhere around 10 and I’m sure there were more as the night progressed. There were hugs, kisses, singing, dancing, uncles spontaneously jumping on stage to play music – it was great – a beautiful blending of families and friends. It was a reminder of what a wedding really is – two people committing their lives to each other and two families becoming one.
