Lisa Insalata Weddings // Kauai Wedding Planner

An Interview with Lisa Insalata Weddings: Eat, Drink, and Be Married

Lisa from Lisa Insalata Weddings impressed me the very first time I worked with her and still does. She was engaging, professional and proactive - everything I love to see in a Kauai wedding coordinator. Our first wedding together was a huge destination wedding and she had a team helping to coordinate and everyone worked together seamlessly. It was so nice to step into such focused and and calm (but of course still busy) environment.

Enjoy getting to know a little more about Lisa and some great tips for your Kauai wedding.

Many couples tell me they want a super fast ceremony because they are worried the guests will be bored. Your guests WANT to relish being a witness to this sacred occasion. Care about the words and intentions of your ceremony because you only get one!

What do you love about planning weddings?

Creating a rich space for your loved ones to gather and celebrate. It's fun to watch it unfold after months of planning. I try to bring the "soul" of the wedding to the surface. Personal preferences are important, but I'm referring to a more expansive, deeply meaningful and juicy experience for everyone.

One of your favorite experiences as a coordinator:

We worked tirelessly with a very sophisticated, detail oriented couple from Beijing. They questioned everything, which is OK in my book, and they wanted to make sure every component was top notch. At the end of the evening, the bride uttered: "Lisa....LIIIIISSSSAAAA....it was PERFECT. Whew.

A tip for a couple planning a Kauai Wedding:

Yes! Please have a realistic budget in mind before you call a coordinator! If you don't have one, I'm happy to help with that. You can google "average cost of weddings" for a start. As much as I love to save my clients money, weddings are expensive, so we need to take a look at your financial investment.

Any other words of advice for couples getting married?

Many couples tell me they want a super fast ceremony and get to the party because they are worried the guests will be bored. Lovies, don't dismiss the significance of your ceremony. Your guests WANT to relish being a witness to this sacred occasion. Care about the words and intentions of your ceremony because you only get one! Think about readings that hold true to you and your partner.

How can couples contact you?

Raimey Anne Weddings // Kauai Wedding Coordinator

An Interview with Raimey

When I think of Raimey of Raimey Anne Weddings, I think about what a hard worker she is. She truly cares about her weddings and will do everything she can to make sure they are perfect. I remember a wedding I shot with her recently where at the last minute she was given wooden engraved place cards for the guests. Although she had a ton of things to do already (wedding days are crazy!), she gracefully took them and got them all out for the guests - and with a smile! While I don’t recommend springing last minute details on your coordinator, if you have Raimey, you know you’ll have someone who has your back.

Enjoy learning a little more about Raimey in the interview below.

Lorgen and Phil had so many wonderful details in their wedding and Raimey coordinated it all seamlessly!

Good communication is important with all vendors! It helps create a smoother wedding day.

A tip for a couple planning a Kauai Wedding:

Hire a coordinator to help! The internet and social media can help find things but having a person to rely on and help during the big day is priceless.

Kendal and Ben had a gorgeous wedding in Poipu, Kauai. Part of what made it so wonderful were all their carefully curated details. Raimey made sure they were all in their spots. She also coordinated between two venues - the wedding at The National Tropical Botanical Gardens and the reception at a private residence.

A stunning wedding crafted by Legacy Events Kauai. There were a lot of moving parts in this wedding from transporting guests to the magical ceremony venue and then to the reception as well as all the decor and vendors.

Let’s have fun. The wedding is the whole journey from planning through your last dance of the night and all of it should be great.
